The Alipore Zoological Gardens also known as the Alipore Zoo and Kolkata Zoo. This is India's oldest zoological park and a popular tourist attraction.

It is best known as the home of the now expired Aldabra Giant Tortoise Adwaita, which was known to have lived for over 250 years old.

The zoo has faced criticism from its cramped cages, as well as for its Panthera hybrid breeding program.
