Bakhi(2740m) is located 16 km from Yuksom in West Sikkim District. It lies at an altitude of around 3100m on the Dzongri (10 km) trek route. Bakhim is a natural garden which is surrounded by dense mixed forests of magnolia, rhododendron, orchids, and ferns. Prek Chu River flows nearby. It commands enchanting, magnificent views of mountain ranges and deep valleys all around. Tsokha Village and Phedang are the nearby places of interest. Accommodation is available at Bakhim Forest House and Tourist Bungalow. Some trekkers make Bakhim to be there first stop on the way to Goecha La trek. Bakhim is situated at a distance of about 3 km from Tsoka but the entre way is uphill with the altitude being gained close to 300m

How to reach
The nearest airport is at Bagdogra in West Bengal and the nearest railway stations are at New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri. From Bagdogra, take a bus or cab to Gangtok which is 114 kms and 3 hours drive. From Gangtok, there is a 123 km drive to Yuksom. From there it is just a 6 hour moderate trek (16 kms).
