Bangalore airport is located 40km from city. Its an international airport and has a number of flights to destinations in Europe, middle east, America and South East Asia.
From the airport, you can either hire a cab to your hotel, or can opt for the another convenient-cheaper- more comfortable option. The red-coloured Volvo buses ply from the airport to almost all the corners of the city. If traveling alone or just two of you, then this is definitely a better option as it saves 60% of the money as compared to the cabs. There is an option to book the ticket online, but DO NOT do that.
