How to reach Bangalore

General Info

By Air

Bangalore airport is located 40km from city. Its an international airport and has a number of flights to destinations in Europe, middle east, America and South East Asia.
From the airport, you can either hire a cab to your hotel, or can opt for the another convenient-cheaper- more comfortable option. The red-coloured Volvo buses ply from the airport to almost all the corners of the city. If traveling alone or just two of you, then this is definitely a better option as it saves 60% of the money as compared to the cabs. These fully AC, low-lined buses try to set an international standard for its travelers. The BMTC Volvo website will show you the routes, the timings and fairs online. There is an option to book the ticket online, but DO NOT do that. One, getting the ticket and a seat in the bus is not even close to the problem: two, delay of the flight or at the baggage counter might be a loss of the money.

By Train

By Road

Bangalore is very well connected by a road network to whole of southern and western India. Direct connectivity to eastern and northern India is minimal.
