Bordi is a sea facing town located at a distance of 17 km from Dahanu. The land was initially barren and was occupied by Iranis and Parsis. The Bordi beach is a major attraction as it is calm and clean. The water rises only to the waist for about half a kilometer, making it safe to swim. There is ample greenery in Bordi and it is maintained by Maharashtra Woods Preservation Department. It is well known for fruit orchards and chikoo plantations. Tourists can choose to stay at the lavish Parsi Bunglows and spend evenings along the 17 km scenic stretch between Dahanu and Bordi. The best time to visit this place is during monsoons and Bordi is easily accessible from Dahanu or Bordi stations.
