It is the oldest temple in Thimphu that was built in 12th century by a Lama who came from Tibet. Here, you can see Chenrizig: an 11-headed, thousand-armed avatar of Avolokitesawara, whic is the central statue.
The temple itself is built on the edge of a ridge and provides beautiful views of Thimpu town.
