Charlotte Lake, also called Sharlott Lake is yet another scenic attraction in Matheran. More importantly, the lake supplies potable water to the town. The lake was built in 1956 and has witnessed large crowds since then. With Pisarnath Temple on one side and Echo, Louisa Points on the other, the lake has gained considerable attention from tourists. Charlotte Lake provides scenic views of the surrounding green lawns, hilly ranges and rich avian population.
