Chiplun, also called as 'Abode of Lord Parshuram', is scenic attraction in Maharashtra. It is located in a valley, on the banks of River Vashisthi and is surrounded by Western Ghats and Guhagar. Attractions of the town include the Guhagar Beach, which is an excellent recreational spot. Chiplun is the hub of chemical and pharma industries. Indira Gandhi Sanskrutik Kendra and a sports stadium are special attractions of Chiplun. Ganapatipule, Parshuram Temple and Ratnagiri are nearby attractions. Chiplun is a major station on the Konkan line and one can also reach here by taking NH-17 on Mumbai-Goa route.
