Dukes Nose, a cliff in Khandala is a popular picnic spot. The place was earlier called as Nagphani (Nag - Snake and Phani – Hood) due to its resemblance to a snake’s hood. The cliff is named Dukes Nose after Duke Wellington and because it is shaped like a nose. It can be reached by a 3-4 hours trek form Khandala Railway Station. The ruins of a temple are seen at the top, near the cliff. The Dukes Nose offers a panoramic view of the twisting Western Express Highway and railways.
