The Dutch built warehouse was converted into the National Maritime Museum in 1992. Apart from exhibiting marine artifacts found during the deep water explorations, it was also famed for its flora and fauna collection. After sustaining the damage during the 2004 Tsunami, the Museum was reponed in March 2010 as the National Maritime Archeological Museum.
