Established in one of the oldest buildings in Galle fort, the museum was opened to public in 1986. It showcases not only the turtle shell ware but also the mould & art of making it. It has objects on display that are of anthropological and archeological importance. Wooden carvings, porcelain, arms, weapons and beeralu collections are on display.
