This beautiful garden was established in 1860 by 3 Britishers whose purpose was to use this garden as experimental grounds for cultivation of Cinchona, which is native to South America. The garden is at the elevation of 5000-6000ft and lies under the Hakgala rock. The garden has an alpine atmosphere with sub tropical plants that were introduced here.
