Towards the right of the main entrance , you will find the Bharhut Room which holds a priceless collection of sculptures from the Second Century BC from Bharhut in Madhya Pradesh.
In the next gallery , you will find the Gandhara Sculptures. Some of the sculptures in this gallery were donated by General Cunningham, which belong to the Mahayana period of Buddhism
The Numismatic Gallery displays an excellent coin collection beginning from the Fifth Century BC to AD Second Century.
Another major attraction for visitors is the Nahar Gallery of Oriental Art - a small room with persian miniatures of the 17th Century , of the Mughal school of painting , including those from the Akbar period.
