Jaigarh Fort or Victory Fort is located on a hill called Cheel Ka Teela next to Amber Palace. It was rebuilt and extended by Jai Singh II in 1726. Among the highlights here are the Jai Van, the 50 tonne cannon that is said to be the world's biggest cannon on wheels. The fort is home to one of the few surviving canon foundries that was built in 1584. Also of interest is the Diva Burj which is a seven storeyed tower where a huge oil lamp was lit.
The armoury section has swords, armours, guns, muskets and a 50kg canon ball among other things. The museum has on display many photographs of Maharajas and Royalty.
