Jaipur Zoo is a part of Ram Niwas Garden and is spread over 8 hectares. Lions, tigers, white tigers, leopards, panthers are amongst the biggest crowd pullers here. Other animals include a wide variety of deer, alligators, black and red bear, jackal, fox and many more. The Zoo has a big crocodile breeding farm as well.
The zoo is also home to a wide variety of birds that includes ducks, goose, white peacock, chattering lorry, parrot and pheasant among others. A lot of migratory birds come here in the winters. Popular among these are pelicans, painted storks, black-necked storks, white ibis and cranes.
