Khajjiar Lake is situated in the city of Khajjiar, in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The city of Khajjiar derives it names from the ancient 12th century golden-domed temple of Khajinag. Khajjiar is located at an altitude of 1960m above sea level in the inner slopes on the foothills of Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas.
The terrain of the stream-fed Khajjiar Lake area is dominated by modest to lush green meadows and surrounded by pine and deodhar forest. This place is known for its tranquility, serenity and kindness of people. As you approach Khajjiar by road or hiking trails, you will see beautiful apple orchards.
