Built on ancient volcanic formations Lakshadweep is the smallest yet probably the most enchanting of all the Union Territories in India.Each of the islands are bordered by snow white coral sands, marked by a huge, shallow, calm lagoon on one side which separate them from incoming swells of the outer sea by the fort wall-reef made of massive coral boulders and live corals.
The islands are restricted areas and all visitors need a permit to enter Lakshadweep. A minimum 2 working days are needed to issue the entry permit.
