Built during the Parakramabahu’s reign, this 17 meter high Tamil influenced structure houses a tall statue of Buddha. The inner walls are decorated with beautiful murals. Its roof collapsed forwarding a huge damage to the interiors. Thereafter, the Buddha statue stands headless.
