The nearest airport is Pune. There is no airport in Lavasa and is not seen anywhere in the proposed plan. The nearest airport is at Pune and the next one at Mumbai. After that road, is the way in!
There is a plan to have helicopter service to Lavasa but that would only be sometime in the future.
By Train
There is no direct train link to Lavasa. The nearest railhead is at Pune, roughly 50 kms away.
By Road
The climb into Lavasa is through a pretty scenic road that consists of multiple hair pin bends (switchbacks).
Start from Chandni Chowk towards Pirangut, take a left at Gothawade Phata after some 12 kms. Go another 21 kms and once you start seeing Temghar dam, take another left. This is the Lavasa road and would put you at the Lavasa entry gate within another 8 kms or so.
