Another vantage point in the hills of Matheran, is the Lousia Point. The Louisa Point is located on a plateau and gives views of several other points and sunset. Ruins of Prabhal and Vishalghad forts can be approached from Lousia Plateau. A front view of beautiful waterfall, also seen from King George Point and other attractions like Chowk Point, Tent Hill, Lake Gardens, Echo Point, Panvel Town and bustling Mumbai are seen from here. A rock in the shape of Lions head is seen towards the right of Louisa and hence the place is also known as Lion’s Head.
