Maduru Oya National Park acts as a catchment area for Maduru Oya reservoir. It contains many species of animals including elephants, leoparts, sloth beat and many more.
It is also home to the ancient Vedda people, who have managed to conserve their lifestyle at Dambana village despite all changing conditions around them.
