The Manoranjan fort probably belongs to the Yadav period and is one of the two forts adjacent to the Rajmachi fort. Uniquely, this place is characterized by the presence of a square shaped lake divided by a straight rock and walking through it requires caution.
One can reach the fort by foot from the back of Shri Bhairavnath temple. Though the place is under ruins with a few structures still standing, it can provide a panoramic view of other spots including the Khandala Railway Station and the forts at Karnala, Pali and Matheran.
