Mudumalai National Park lies to 80 Kms North-West of Coimbatore and is situated in the Nilgiris covering North and North Western side of the Blue Mountains( Nilgiris). It is actually the continuation of Bandipore national park and the river Moyar separates the two parks. this 320 sq-Kms is a beautiful package of swamps, valleys, flat land and open grasslands. There is a wide variety of Flora and Fauna and if you are lucky, you might see the tigers as well. Langur, leopards, Bonnet Macaque, Sambar, Spotted deer, Wild boar, Mouse deer, and Flying squirrel are few of the many animal species you will find here. There is also a diverse flora species such as Bamboos, Teak, Terminalia, Indian Labumusum etc.
