Nangal(alt 329m) is a town in Punjab located at the foot of Shivalik hills. Nangal is located quite near to Bhakra Dam. Nangal Dam has been built over river Satluj and a number of canals, including the Bhakra Canal, are taken out from here to provide irrigation to the plains of Punjab, Haryana and Rajathan.
