The museum was inaugurated by Her Majesty in 2001, apart from housing a vast collection of Bhutanese antique textiles from as late as 1600s. It has also given a new platform to national textiles and Bhutanese weavers. One can steal the glimpse of people weaving and doing embroideries, displaying their unmatched talent. Every single piece of work carries the signature of its master. The textiles usually varies from Nu 1000- Nu 25000. The fiber is categorized into multiple categories, including Royal Collection.
