The Parassinikadavu Snake Park is a well-known snake part 17-18 kms from Kannur in the south Indian state of Kerala. The park is near the Sree Muthappan temple (stands on the banks of the Valapattanam River). The park has been dedicated towards the preservation and conservation of snakes.
The Snake Park is a subsidiary unit of the Visha chikitsa kendra, and is one of the only of its kind in Kerala. The Visha chikista kendra offers treatment for snake bites. The park has about 150 species of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes including the spectacled cobra, russell's viper, krait, king cobra, various pit vipers and pythons. Other than the snakes, there are other kinds of endangered species of monkeys and crocodiles.
