Built on Parvati Hill at a height of 2100 ft above sea, the Parvati Hill Temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu, Kartikeya and Devadeshwar. The temple was a place of worship for Peshwa rulers and also a watching sight for encroachment by enemies. A flight of 108 steps leads to the temple from where a panoramic view of Pune city is obtained. The museum near Parvati Hill Temple exhibits manuscripts, idols, arms and coins used by Peshwas during Maratha rule.
