Patwon ki Haveli is one of the largest Haveli's in Jaisalmer and was built between 1805 and 1855 by Patwa, one of the richest merchants in Jaisalmer. The haveli has five apartments that Patwa built for each of his sons. The Haveli has huge corridors and beautifully carved pillars. The arched roof with carved brackets have been shaped like peacocks. The walls are covered with captivating frescoes.
The haveli stands in a narrow lane and now houses a few government offices. The office of the Archeological Survey of India and State art and craft department is also situated in the haveli.
