Ram Vilas gardens was build by Maharaja Ram Singh in 1848 and covers 33 acres in the heart of the city. The garden has a bird park, zoo and a museum called Albert Hall Museum. Recently, the Rabindra Manch Theatre with an auditorium, a modern art gallery and an open air theatre, has been added to promote cultural events. The garden with small pools, fountains and beautiful lawns is an attractive place for picnics.
