Royal Palace of Jaisalmer, located inside Jaisalmer Fort was built in parts from 16th century to 19th century. The palace has seven storeys and is located right next to Moti Mahal, and Dussehra Chownk. At Dussehra Chown, functions, performances and parades used to take place with the emperor seated on the marble throne located at the top of a series of steps. From the Palace roof top tourists can enjoy commanding views of Jaisalmer city and open spaces beyond it.
