Overview

Samdrup Jongkhar lies on the border with India states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. A typical border gate welcomes you here, with dragons and Garudas engraved on the gate. Bhutan side is covered with thick dense forest here at the entry point.
The town itself is a well developed commercial center and serves the other nearby remote places with the daily needed things. The place does not provide much to see other than the wooden market shops, and the unique Bhutanese touch in everything, but the road from Trashigang to this place is amazingly beautiful and scenic. The cleanliness of this place is something that attracts everbody's attention.
