Overview

Sangla is a town in the scenic Baspa valley(also known as sangla valley). Its situated at an elevation of 2621 m and is 17km from Karcham. The road from Karcham to Sangla is very adventurous as Satluj cuts deep gorges along the way. One can walk along the fast flowing river. Sangla is quite populated as per Kinnaur standards. The soil being fertile, produces lots of apple and cherry orchards.
Camps like 'Igloo' and "Banjara', with their utmost hospitality, nurture warmth in that cold a weather. The excitement of being at the foothill of the Great Kinner Kailash adds color to the trip. The narrow-scenic-adventurous road to Chitkul( the last Indian village) offers opportunities for cyclists to put themselves at test.
The distance between Sangla and Chitkul is close to 24km and sangla is approximately 240 km from Shimla.
