May-September sees high rainfall. Winter months of November-February are pleasant.

Sarpang is situated in the central southern foothills and spreads from Lhamoy Zingkha in the west to Manas National Park in the east. It lies on the Sarpang- Getephu- Trongsa Highway and borders India.
