St Josephs Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals located in the Gun foundry area in Hyderabad.Th central hall of this place can accommodate about 500 people at one time.
In the year 1982 the giant bells of the cathedral were brought all the way from Italy . The bells are tuned to play number of Hymns on them. The sacred church bells safeguard against lightning . In olden days, when watches were not popular, the sacred bells were rung to indicate time.The main alcove inside the cathedral has an imitation of the Pieta by Michelangelo
