Established in 1501 by Pema Lingpa this is the most important Nyingmapa temple in Bhutan. It is now the seat of the 11th incarnation of Pema Lingpa, the Lama Sungtrul Rinpoche and a body of 90 monks. Its inner walls are adorned with religious frescoes
