Ulsoor Lake covers a vast area of approximately 123 acres on eastern side of Bangalore. This lake has many islands in it and is a natural habitat for many species, but is subjected to heavy pollution. These are now being dealt with proper treatments and are being reduced to safe guard this beautiful lake. There is a recreational centre close to the lake along with a swimming pool. Bangalore city's largest Sikh's place of worship, 'Gurudwara' is located near Ulsoor lake. One can hire cruisers for boating and make brief stops at the islands in between the lake. The lake also serves as a hot spot for Ganesh Pooja and celebration during months of August and September.
