Venna Lake is one of the 5 water bodies found in Mahabaleshwar Hill station of Satara District. Covering an area of 28 acres surrounded by hills and lush greenery on all sides, this lake is a popular attraction in Mahabaleshwar. In 1842, The King of Satara district, Shri Appasaheb Maharj built this artificial lake as a part of Venna River to supply water to the hill station. Tourists engage in boating, fishing, horse-riding, playing fun games and snacking in the lake area. Venna Lake is about 2 km from S.T Bus Stand and Mahabaleshwar City Market is a popular shopping centre amongst visitors.
